I was born in Iraq in 1948 and completed my schooling there. My university studies were completed in the United Kingdom and France, culminating in a master's degree in applied geology. In addition, I have several years of professional experience in geology in both Iraq & Algeria.

Inconvenient circumstances compelled me to abandon geology in the middle of the nineties of last century hence, my activities were redirected through another path, that of Prehistory which soon was transformed into a passion consuming the bulk of my active time.
